Special teams got to work as the Black Wings crossed the border in Germany to do battle with Lahr. Nine penalties were called in the first period alone but amazingly the only goal scored in the period was an even strength marker by Lahr rookie Braydon Coburn. His happiness would be short-lived as he left the game shortly afterwards and did not return.
Frantisek Kaberle and Kyle Wellwood scored the Black Wings goals, both on the power play. Once again, the Black Wings were heavily outshot, 35-22, however, the Lynchjustiz were held scoreless on the power play in ten opportunities.
All in all, this was a game the Black Wings were really hoping to win, however, given their play of late, it's not too bad to come away with a point on the road.
